The executive director of the Cathedral Community School, Delores Sanchez, B.A. participated as a special delegate of Dominican Republic to the the second edition of the Ibero-American Forum of Education and Culture in the Digital Era, (FIECED). The forum was held last November in Managua (Nicaragua) and was sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the multinational organization Crambo Nicaragua.
The main objective of the meeting, which was also attended by twenty ministers of education and special guests linked to the education sector in Latin American countries, is to unify intentions, efforts and visions of the different countries to work on improving education.
Sanchez said that in the Dominican Republic, even with the efforts and intention of our leaders, there is still much to accomplish as far as the quality of teaching is concerned.
During the forum, various leaders of the technology sector provided a vision of the change that is occurring in the world of education in the new digital era. The activity included presentations, lectures, case studies and panel discussions.
